Chris D. Jensen (1946 - 2000)

Died September 14, 2000.  He was born October 2, 1946 in Missoula, Montana to Max and Luella Jensen.  He was the eldest and mentor to his six brothers and sisters, Gail, Carol, Kurt, Jerry, Nathan and Connie.  He attended the University of Utah shortly before serving his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War.  He moved to Bellevue in 1969 to work for his father at Pacific Construction Systems, Inc. of which he later became owner and CEO.

Highlights: married May 25, 1966 to his soulmate, Carla Lee Casto, the only girl he ever dated.  His children, Steve Jensen (Patricia), Lolly Hofheins (Todd) and Cindi Jensen.  His grand children, Conner, McClane and Rilery Hofheins and Colbi and Zoey Jensen, who fondly refer to him as "Grampy".  A day to remember was April 9, 1999, when at 3:13pm on the second hole at Glendale Country Club, he pulled out his eight iron and nailed a 140-yard hole in one!

Hobbies: His love of sports and ablity to generate and retain statistics was unmatched.  His loyalties were to the hometown teams and any team a loved one played for.  He completed two marathons, carried the Olympic torch in 1984, and played and coached many different genres.  His newest talent was art.  In only sixty hours of lessons, he created 16 masterpieces.  His legacy is extraordinary kindness and generosity to loved ones, acquaintances and strangers alike.

Arrangements for Funeral Services are though Green's Bellevue Funeral Home.  The service will be held Monday, September 18 at 1:00pm. with a Viewing beginning at 11:00am held at the LDS Bellevue Washington Stake Center, 14536 Main St. Bellevue.   Please donate remembrances to the charity of your choice.  The family would like to give special thanks to Connie and Melissa and the CCU Staff at Overlake Hospital of Bellevue for their exceptional love and care. 

(Chris was married to Olympus '64 classmate, Carla Casto (Jensen), who still resides in Washington.)
