      Larry Vaughn Nichol  ( 1946 - 2019 )

Larry Vaughn Nichol, 72, died Thursday April 4th 2019. He passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by his family. He was born May 7th 1946 in Murray, Utah to Dallas Wayne and Leith Austin Nichol. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Sandy on September 7th 1965.

He grew up in Holiday, Utah attended Olympus High School and was a State Wrestling champ.In his early years he worked in construction and built swimming pools with his Dad. He worked as a meat cutter for 49 years and was an active member of the meat cutters union.

He is survived by his wife Sandy, his four daughters Debra (Kevin) John, Amber (Matt) Tingey, Toni (Marcus) Whitney and Kellie (Buc) McCune. 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 1 expectant great grandson and 1 expectant great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters Wanda Olmstead, Irene Munson, RaNae Fausett and brother Jay Nichol. He is preceded in death by his father & mother, his brothers Grant Nichol, Jack Nichol, Merlin Nichol, his sister Dawn Spencer and his grandson Dyllan Vaughn.

Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, water skiing and snow skiing. He was an avid poet and shared his poems with all. His family was the most important part of his life and the subject of many of his poems. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

Services will be held Thursday April 11, 2019 at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 East Dimple Dell
Rd.(10600 South) Sandy, Utah 84092. There will be a viewing held before the service from 9:30-10:30. Services will begin at 11:00 am
