V. Bryce Adamson Obituary  V. Bryce Adamson (1946 - 2014)

My father was not just a man; he was a bold and vibrant spirit with an open heart. I am blessed and humbled to have been created by this spiritual being that touched people everywhere he went. I'm positive the joke is not lost on everyone that it was his "69th" birthday. Somehow he even managed to eat one piece of his own cake before he died. That was just my dad's sense of humor. When I was 11, he had his first heart attack and as the paramedics were taking him out of our house on the stretcher, he jokingly said "pull the sheet up over my head so all the neighbors will think I've died." It breaks my heart to say that this time he is not kidding, he is really gone. My dad's humor was his best way of coping with the trauma of life. Because of this, all of his doctor's have considered him to be a "medical miracle". He has bounced back from losing one-third of his heart from that massive heart attack at 42, then quadruple by-pass surgery at 55, and other additional chronic illnesses. My father treated his own diseases and became an athlete in his 40's. He was in amazing shape, always considered an extremely handsome man with beautiful blue eyes and seemed much younger than his years. He was a seeker of truth, love, integrity and compassion. He loved the simple things in life: his flowers, growing tomatoes, his new puppy Georgia, building his deck, the doves, taking a walk. He cherished his sweetheart Sandra of over 13 years. He loved talking to me about the meaning of life in the middle of the night when we both couldn't sleep. My father is the one person I could always ask a question and get a true and honest answer. He could build anything from anything. He was a master craftsman and Locksmith. He was the most intelligent and self-educated man I have ever known. I talked to my dad everyday for the last 38 years of my life and a piece of me died with him. Many lives will have holes in them from this loss. I thank God he was my Dad.

V. Bryce Adamson is survived by his only child and daughter, Mechelle Adamson (Kris Trujillo); his only grandchild, Bryce Adamson (Little); his sweetheart of 13 years, Sandra McMann (and so much of her family); former spouse of 35 years, Lucy Adamson; brothers Lyndon and Rae Adamson. Many friends of Bill W. and so many more friends and family it would take a million pages to mention them all.

A celebration of Bryce's life will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to services.
