Sandie was a great friend to me . . . Wish I could have kept up with her . . . Was hoping to connect with her here . . . I've missed her for years!
Margaret Ryan (Rackham)
When I moved to Wisconsin five years ago, I tried to get to know the neighbors on my street. It is a beautiful neighborhood, much like the Olympus Drive I grew up on in Holladay. All my best efforts were shot down when I mentioned that we had come out of retirement from Utah so my husband could teach at Marquette dental school, and the clincher was the 27 grandchildren that are the love of my life. None of my new neighbors returned my invitations to get to know each other. (It makes me sympathetic for LDS missionaries .)
I look through my Ofyssey often and always when a class mate is in the obituaries . I didn't see Sandie in the paper, but when I see her calm beautiful face in our yearbook since I moved here, I wondered if she felt In some small way the loneliness that I feel as a "minority"in my Lovely Lutherin / Catholic neighborhood.
i wish that I had known her more than just in passing.
Susan (Susie) Durham (Nielsen)
Sandie always had a shy calm demeanor and I felt like her friend. It would have been wonderful to connect with her again after all these years. I hope she had a good life and was surrounded with those who loved her.
Louise Goddard
Sandie & I became friends in the Modern Dance and Ice Skating Club. What a delightful experience it was to just enjoy spending some fun time with her. It's hard learning that so many of our classmates are no long with us.
