William John Green Obituary  William John Green (1946 - 2014)

Passed away today (June 23) after a long fight with colon cancer.  Bill and Sandra had signed up to come to reunion events, so we are doubly sad for the lost opportunity to visit with him.

Jan. 26, 1946 ~ June 23, 2014
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Bill, the son of Wilbur J. and Bertha Anderson Green, graduated from Olympus High School and earned his bachelor of science from the University of Utah in Business. He served our Lord in the Cumorah Mission, taught skiing at Alta for six years where he earned his "White Pin", and served in the Vietnam War as a U.S.-trained Path Finder.  In 1975, he married Sandra Stevens.

He is survived by his adoring wife and five boys, Jed, Clint, Chris (Rachel), Mark, and Robin.

Bill truly loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, skiing, square dancing and scouting (received Silver Beaver).

Bill passed away at the age of 68, due to Colon Cancer. In lieu of flowers, Bill asked that you spend time with a loved one in the great outdoors!

Services will be held at the Gundersen Ward Chapel, 4101 South 1925 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84124 on Saturday June 28, 2014 at 11:00am with a viewing prior to the service from 9:45-10:45am.
