Dennis Hughes (1946 - 1994)

Dennis D Hughes, 47, died August 20, 1994 at home after a prolonged illness.

Born September 17, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho to Frank D and Burva Astle Hughes. Married Kathleen Welch, November 26, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He graduated from Olympus High School and attended the U of U.  He was on the Dean's List at Salt Lake Community College where he graduated. 

He retired from Utah Power & Light Co.; was past board member of IBEW Local #57. He served as president of the Reserve Officers South Salt Lake Police Force.

He was a member and elder at Wasatch Presbyterian Church and was passionate about boating and fishing at Flaming Gorge.  Survived by his wife; daughter, Alisa K. Hughes; son-in-law, Peter K. Stricklett; father and sister, Judith Hughes.

Memorial services, noon Wednesday, August 24, 1994 at the Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1700 East 1700 South. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Utah Cardiac Transplant Program at LDS Hospital.
