Hello class members,

A few things we need to go over prior to the 60th year class reunion at Little America, Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5:00 pm to midnight.

Please email your intention to attend and the number in your party to Bob Bacon via this website. A few of you have done so already which is appreciated. However, we need the rest of you to do so.

Little America is giving a 15% discount on certain rooms should you wish to stay a night or two. Contact Kristina Worthington at 801-258-6774 for details.

If you have dietary concerns, call Pam Smith at 1-801-580-3109.

Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Arizona room where we will congregate, visit with one another, have a meal and enjoy a program. There is a bar in the hotel, if you wish to imbibe prior to or post the reunion. It is a cash bar.

Phil Tuckett has agreed to present a history of the film industry in Utah. This will be incredibly interesting.

The cost of the evening is dependent on the number of attendees. Currently we are 50 shy of the 80 we seek. Encourage your high school friends to attend the gala and have them sign up asap. The room capacity is 90.

We will let you know what the cost for the evening will be and the directions for payment. We will need the payment no later than two weeks prior to the event. We have set the target date at August 20th.

Hello fellow Titans of 1964,
As you are aware we contacted everyone of you via the Website regarding the 80th (oops), the 60 year reunion.  In that message we stated that the event was set for Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 10:00 pm at Sugar House Park - Parleys Pavilion. Many of us are not as spry as we were twenty years ago so negotiating the terrain at the park might be difficult to some participants, if not many.  In addition a few class members  have suggested a little more punch and sophistication to our gathering of septuagenarians. Therefore we have altered the arrangements and date for the reunion as follows.
Accommodations (The Arizona Room) have been reserved at Little America in downtown SLC for FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH from 5:00 pm to midnight.  We are so excited about sharing the joy or seeing one another - although immediate recognition might be lacking.  We have been conservative as far as price is concerned but not skimping on the meal nor the fun.  We are expecting the cost to be between $60.00 and $70.00 per person.  Of course, that will depend on the number of Titans attending.  It will be fun renewing friendships, sharing life's experiences and enjoying a good meal.  Those of you who will come from out-of-town please note that Little America will provide a discount on your stay.  Please check the website regularly for additional information.  We will need to know if you and your significant other plan on attending. Send your reservation to Bob Bacon via the website.  Thank you.

An Evening with David Burnett  August 27, 2022

We had an informative and enjoyable time on the 27th with Dave's presentation that reminded us of the years of history and experiences we all share.  Dave's remarkable career and experiences as a photo-journalist made the evening quite worthwhile.

For more details on David's noteworthy career see:

Touching song by Simon and Garfunkel.  Lyrics and rendition on the left menu - Old Friends/Bookends.  Thank you Gary Sandberg for bringing this to our attention.

50 YEARS of PHOTOGRAPHS - D. BURNETT - May 22, 2014

David Burnett has put together a slide program of his photographs from the last fifty years.  The images are stunning.  Play the slide show by going to the menu item on the left, Remembering 1964, and clicking the link.

1964 VIDEO POSTED – January 21, 2014

PBS recently aired a two-hour special on the year, 1964, on The American Experience program.  We have posted a link to the video.  Click on the left menu item Remembering 1964 for details.

WEBSITE LAUNCHED - August 16, 2013

Site launched with only a handful of registrations the first few days.  Now, many more.  See Finding Fellow Titans for an update.  If I misspelled your name, correct it when you register.

Initially there are only a few yearbook pictures loaded up, but there will be more until all Titans have a picture, thanks to the Wilhelmsen brothers who are tackling the project.
